What Are Gutter Guards & Do You Need Them?
Gutter guards are covers installed over your gutters that allow rainwater in while helping keep leaves, pine needles, seeds, and other debris out of the gutter trough. By preventing buildup inside the gutter, they reduce clogs, overflow, and how often your gutters need to be cleaned.
But not every home needs them. If you have few nearby trees and very little roof debris, an open gutter may work perfectly well. For homes surrounded by trees, gutter guards can make a big difference in keeping water flowing and reducing maintenance.
No gutter guard is completely maintenance-free. Some debris can still collect on top and occasionally need to be brushed or blown away. We'll recommend guards when they make sense for your property—not simply because we sell them.
Which Gutter Guard Is Right for Your Home?
The best gutter guard depends on the type of debris around your home, nearby trees, roof valleys, and how water flows off your roof. Heavy valleys can concentrate a lot of water in one area, so we may recommend a splash guard where needed.

Waterlock Micro-Mesh
For homes dealing with finer debris or heavy pine needles, we may recommend Waterlock micro-mesh. It uses a rigid .027 aluminum frame with stainless-steel mesh to help keep smaller debris out of the gutter.
